We’ve worked with Cielo for years. New to the @bancroftwines listings, it was great to be introduced to a few newbies alongside recent vintages of old favourites. Such a great tasting today with Ian from @rakq.tra Such a great tasting today with Ian from @rakq.trade — South African wine specialists — every wine delivered on flavour and it’s fair to say you’ll be seeing some new bottles on the shelf. Some iconic producers, quality low intervention winemaking, and outstanding craft. So many standouts but a very interesting little skin contact white blend of Chenin, Roussanne, Fernao Pires and Viognier in a cool little crown capped bottle that is MADE for indie wine communities, a few new Chenins that will genuinely knock your socks off, and a Bordeaux style red blend that knew how to make an entrance in the glass. Yeee-haw!

Proud to be flying the flag for indie wines amongst some industry heavyweights. Now, this is something to dig out the burgundy record of achievement for! Showing our age… ‘20 years of countless samples, winery visits, winemaker events, scrupulous negotiations and simply sourcing the best indie wines I can find. This is a huge honour!
