SHOP? BAR? YES. Turns out all this pouring, poppin SHOP? BAR? YES. Turns out all this pouring, popping-up, feeding people, hosting things and generally refusing to behave like ‘just’ a wine shop has caught someone’s eye. We’re officially a FINALIST for Bar & Shop of the Year at the 2027 @drinksretailingawards 🥂 Which feels particularly lovely for Sherborne to be back at the top — and for everyone who’s bought a bottle, stayed for a glass, turned up to a tasting, squeezed in for supper or followed us somewhere slightly unexpected over the years. The shop is still the heart of it. We’ve just got rather good at spilling out of it. Rather chuffed, actually. For two evenings, we’re giving Vineyards a Spanish For two evenings, we’re giving Vineyards a Spanish makeover 🇪🇸 Your £22pp gets you the cava plus your own curated cold Spanish bites box: gazpacho, focaccia, Ibérico ham, salad, olives, frittata, aged Manchego, cornichons, regañás — lovely, lovely things. 🫒 Proper Spanish bits sourced from the frankly excellent @brindisaspanishfoods 🥖 Focaccia from our friends @lievitobakery 🥂 A glass of Perelada ‘Stars’ Organic Cava to get things started Think elevated cheese-and-charcuterie grazing rather than hot restaurant tapas — everything ready for you to pick at while the wine keeps coming. Veggie boxes available too. And, because this is Vineyards, the drink-in list is getting involved obvs! We’ll be offering a specially picked line-up of Spanish wines throughout the evening, with bottles from @altolandonwines , @luiscanas_bodegas , @perelada and @bodegasemiliomoro , sourced with our pals @alliancewine (cheers @cesciaddis !!) 📅 Thursday 24 & Friday 25 September 🕔 5–9pm 💃 £22pp DM, Email or call to book Limited availability, so booking is essential. Burgundy can be… a lot. Villages. Vineyards. Clima Burgundy can be… a lot. Villages. Vineyards. Climats. Crus. Prices that occasionally require a small lie-down. Which is why days like this are such a treat. Richard Nunn has spent 35+ years getting under the skin of Burgundy and today he brought rather a lot of it to our tasting table from @champagnesandchateaux We tasted. We scribbled. We went back. We argued our favourites. We went back again. Hard work, obviously. And goodness, we found some corkers. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with that almost impossible Burgundian trick of being complex but completely effortless to drink. Balance. Precision. Proper sense of place. Wines where you stop analysing quite so much because, frankly, you’re too busy enjoying them. Some absolutely impeccable new bottles will be making their way onto the Vineyards shelves very soon. Two nights of fantastic seafood, top notch wine, l Two nights of fantastic seafood, top notch wine, lots of laughter, and honest company. Our Seafood Sessions have been pure joy! BIG BIG Thanks the Chef Mark, Sharon @thefoxinn_corscombe , @portlandshellfish , ALL of Team Vineyards Delaney, Devan, Nunu, Ionas, Sade & Hannah you ran a smooth ship, Sheri & Chris, and you lovely lovely lot for bringing your best selves. Of course Night Two ended with a lesson in Cha Cha Cha from pros and an impromptu Greek Dance! BIG Cheers 🥂 P.s. 60 people…we ate 30 lobsters, 36 crabs, 40 mackerel pâté, 160 scallops, 46 bowls of salad, 38 loafs of mixed sourdoughs and granary from @lievitobakery and drank 15 martinis, 19 bottles of Fizz (mostly @gusbourne_wine) 54 bottles of wine, 2 Caribbean Queens, a Hugo Spritz, a Paloma, and a hot chocolate — yes, really! P.p.s the clapping hands are meant to be a nice round of applause. Are they just a bit creepy though????? 😬🤣🤪🥂🥂 P.p.p.s AI doesn’t write midnight captions like this! Jus’ sayin’ P.p.p.p.s.
