So, we rocked up to @thedorchester last night, dressed to the nines, tittering with nerves. The wonderful folk @champagnelaurentperrier hosted a fizzy VIP reception, we chatted all things Grand Siècle with David Hesketh MW.
We put the world the right with @jane_parkinson who later nailed hosting the ceremony with @lucybritner (girl power!)
The brilliant @buckinghamschenk team were our dinner dates/table buddies/nerve calmers/dessert thieves and also sponsored our category (check out the wines on table 17!! wink wink)
Honestly, we went along dumbfounded to be a finalist rubbing shoulders with @reservewines & @thegoodwineshophq out of 850+ UK indie wine merchants.
BUT, TO WIN… honestly was beyond our wildest dreams! This is a definite career high, and a win for the rural community who drink indie with us every day in Sherborne and deepest, darkest Dorset! This award means so much as you really get reviewed fully, we had a mystery visit, interview, the lot.
We’re going to bang on about this for a good while, and despite this already ‘what-the-actual’ lengthy social media post we really are shellshocked.
